US Proposal Seeks Hostage Release
US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff reportedly delivered the ceasefire proposal to Hamas Sunday. The plan offers US support to end Israel’s military operations in exchange for the immediate release of all hostages. Israel would release up to 3,000 Palestinian prisoners under the deal.
Hostages and Urgency Intensify
Reports indicate 48 hostages remain in Gaza, with only about 20 believed alive. Trump issued a similar ultimatum in March. His message pressures Hamas publicly to respond to a deal Washington says could end the long-standing conflict.
